All About Opportunity Zones

The Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The Sherbert Group and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond will host this information session on Opportunity Zones. This three hour program will discuss what opportunity zones are, how to invest and opportunities in Spartanburg County.


Investing in Qualified Opportunity Zones and Funds:  Opportunity Zones are transforming the way individuals and companies invest capital gains. In order to receive maximum benefit, investments must be made before December 31, 2019. Literally, any U.S. taxpayer with capital gains can potentially benefit from this new tax incentive.
 
This workshop will include:

1. An educational presentation by The Sherbert Group
2. City/County representatives discussing their involvement and view of the zones
3. A panel of zone reps moderated by Jeanne Milliken Bonds
