Caffeinated Conversation: A Southern Studies Pioneer

Caffeinated Conversation: A Southern Studies Pioneer

You might know the Hub City Bookshop as a place to grab the latest book on your reading list and to greet "The Official Hub Kitty", Zora Nelle. You might also know that the Hub City Writers Project has been cultivating readers and nurturing writers through its independent press, literacy outreach, and diverse literary programming since 1995. But did you know that the Hub City Writers Project, in partnership with the Chapman Cultural Center, spearheads a first-of-its-kind, nine-month fellowship program for the culture of the American South?

Come out to the Book Shop for April's Caffeinated Conversation and do more than read about Spartanburg's own and the nation's first full-service bookshop operated by a non-profit organization. Interact with the dynamic team of staff that have made the Hub City one of the most substantial literary arts organizations in the nation. And get a sneak peak of the 2022 Southern Study Fellowship projects ahead of their May presentations.
