About the Workshop

How do you grow your business by acquiring an existing one? Alex Evins, an attorney with Parker Poe, will walk you through the process from deciding on acquisition as a strategy to the identification and evaluation of a target. Learn the nuts and bolts of financing, closing, and the important step of integration. Whether you have never considered acquiring a business or are a wily veteran, you will learn information and strategies to help make your next deal a success.

About the Presenter 

T. Alexander Evins, is an attorney and partner in the firm of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, which has approximately 200 lawyers practicing in eight offices across the Carolinas and Georgia.  He is in the firm’s Corporate and International Practice Group.  He has served his firm as both as a practice group leader and as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors.  He has nearly 35 years of experience in the area mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and governance.  As a community volunteer he as served as general counsel for the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce and is a past chair.  Mr. Evins received his B.A. from the University of Georgia and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina.  Mr. Evins was recognized in 2007 with the Neville Holcombe Distinguished Citizenship Award.
