Abstract:  The speaker will discuss cost saving initiatives that can provide an advantage over competitors and improve a company’s bottom line while avoiding pitfalls that can derail the best of strategies in a global economy.

Short Bio:
 
 
Shane Weir has over 20 years of experience in international trade and compliance. His background with customs brokerage, trade compliance consulting, and employment with international service, distribution, and manufacturing corporations has afforded him significant experience in this field.  A majority of his time has been spent in high risk sectors such as apparel, telecommunications and the automotive industry. He has a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Business Management from Indiana University and a Master in Business Administration from Clemson University.  He has been a licensed Customs Broker since 1998. His time is currently dedicated to helping produce the “Ultimate Driving Machine” as he is employed by BMW Manufacturing where he leads all international trade compliance efforts.
