LSAA Day of Service to Veterans

Join LSAA for a day of service to thank veterans who served our country.

On Nov. 12, we'll meet in the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce lobby between 8-8:30 a.m. for coffee, then head out to work on service projects to help veterans.

There will be a few drop-in projects so you can participate for as little or as long as you'd like during the day.

Make cards for active duty military
Make fleece scarves or blankets to deliver to homeless-serving organizations (we know they serve many veterans) - https://feltmagnet.com/textiles-sewing/How-to-make-fleece-scarves

Help distribute food at The Bridge and TOTAL from 9 - noon on 11/12 as part of Overflow Thanksgiving

Visit a long-term care facility and visit with residents - we can specifically look for veterans or military family members to connect with

If you can't make it, please take some time to donate or volunteer for veterans causes.

Leadership Spartanburg Alumni Association (LSAA) is a group of community leaders who are graduates of Leadership Spartanburg, a Chamber of Commerce program initiated in 1979. The mission of LSAA is to identify community needs and encourage the involvement of its members in civic, community and charitable organizations; to promote the education of its members in issues involving the affairs of the city and the county of Spartanburg, South Carolina; and to enhance the leadership skills of its members, in order that they might better serve the community as volunteers and civic leaders.
