Closing the sale with the customer is the first sale. Then you must sell the production department on producing the product on schedule and correctly the first time. Next, you must sell the installation/delivery department on having everything arrive safely, on time and professionally. Finally, you must sell the accounting department on invoicing accurately and in a timely manner.
Bottom Line: No matter who else is responsible for that, the sales representative and their leadership is accountable.
