Small Business Council

Our January meeting will be held at the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce. The focus of the meeting will be an interactive discussion on what type of workshops small businesses need.

The Small Business Council (SBC) will provide a greater opportunity to share ideas, knowledge, and help us create meaningful programming for Spartanburg small businesses. The overall goal is to provide businesses with 50 or fewer employees the tools, training, information and support that will empower them to succeed.

Small Business Council Objectives

- Educate small businesses on issues that impact their bottom line

- Motivate small businesses to make a difference through advocacy

- Provide a unified voice for the small businesses of Spartanburg County

- Serve as a resource for small businesses across the county

The SBC will serve small businesses by providing education and information on local resources available to small businesses through:

- Business seminars, networking opportunities, roundtable groups

- Recognition of business achievement

- Providing quality programs and services provided in partnership with other entities, including: local colleges and universities; technical colleges and schools; city and county governments; and others entities with similar interests (SCORE, SBDC, SC Women’s Business Center, etc.)
