WMYI-FM PRESENTS SUSTO AT SECOND STAGE @ SMA with special guests Brother Oliver and Open on Mondays
Charleston based SUSTO is coming up to the Second Stage @ SMA for an unforgettable night, accompanied by Columbia's Open on Mondays and Greenville natives, Brother Oliver.
Mobility has always helped define America. Don’t settle for where you start. Find a new town, new coast, or new state of mind––then make it yours. “We export this idea of getting in your car and going somewhere, trying to find something new, bouncing around,” says Justin Osborne. With a rock-rooted sound that doesn’t shy away from radio-ready hooks, Charleston, South Carolina's SUSTO keeps listeners engaged by refusing to occupy an easily defined space.
Brother Oliver emerged from Greenville, South Carolina and can now be found all across the country delivering high-energy performances through the lens of a folk-rock / psych-rock aesthetic—a genre they've officially coined as "psychedelic folk-rock."
From the famously hot city of Columia, South Carolina, Open on Mondays had humble beginnings as an acoustic duo playing the same venue every Monday night to one or two stragglers who had wandered in. These days, you can hear their sultry Kentucky Bluegrass vocals and smooth acoustic guitar all across the south.
